The report revealed a consortium from the Far East are ready to spend as much as £500m on costs to redevelop Chelsea’s new stadium. It however claimed that Abramovich is not looking to sell any part of Chelsea to the Chinese group, but the Chelsea billionaire owner is exploring ways to help finance the club’s new ground.

The new ground which is to have a capacity of 60,000 could be ready by the 2021-22 season but Chelsea would need to leave Stamford Bridge while the stadium is being built.
