Chelsea right wing-back Victor Moses has been nominated for the BBC African Footballer of the Year award.
The nomination follows another he received earlier this month for the African Footballer of the Year award, organised by CAF, Africa’s football governing body.
Moses made the BBC shortlist after helping Chelsea win the Premier League title last season despite playing the right wing-back role for the first time last season.
He also helped Nigeria qualify for next summer’s World Cup in Russia. Nigeria were the first African nation to qualify for the World Cup and they avoided defeat during the qualifying stage. Moses scored three goals for Nigeria during the qualifiers.
The other nominees for the BBC African Footballer of the Year award include Sadio Mane of Liverpool, Mo Salah of Liverpool, Naby Keita of RB Leipzig and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund.
