With Chelsea set to play Liverpool on Saturday, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed he would rotate the team against Qarabag.
When asked if he would rotate against Qarabag on Wednesday, Conte said: “For sure, I have to make the best decision for these games. Also because we are playing every three days. It’s normal to have rotation for the team. But I trust all my players. I have my choices and I’m very sure on my choices. I trust in all my players. It’s normal to have rotation because we have to play every three days.
“But, I repeat, for us the game against Qarabag is very important. It would be very important to arrive at the Atletico Madrid game still waiting to go through to the next round. Usually when you arrive at this type of moment, it could be more difficult for us. And the motivation? I don’t think so. I have a squad with great maturity.
“For sure, my players know very well the importance of tomorrow’s game against Qarabag. We must have a great focus, a great concentration to try and win against a good team. Don’t forget that Qarabag have drawn twice against Atletico Madrid and Roma struggled a lot before winning here against them.
“We have great respect for this team and we know we have to put all ourselves into winning this game. Is someone thinks we are sure or we know this game will be easy, it won’t be. For sure. For this reason, we must have great concentration from the start.”
