Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has revealed he is heartbroken after his side were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea.

Bournemouth thought they had forced the game to extra-time after Dan Gosling equalised in the 90th minute but Alvaro Morata scored immediately after the restart to ensure Chelsea go through to the last four.

“It’s heartbreaking,” Howe said.

“We didn’t get a good start. We penned them in with waves of attacks.

“The last part of the game is disappointing.”
