With Alvaro Morata injured for the game against Huddersfield, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte opted to play the trio of Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian.
The trio impressed, with Chelsea winning Huddersfield 3-1.
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard wants Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to start with the trio of Hazard, Pedro and Willian because Chelsea are more inventive and creative when the trio start.
“His [Hazard] awareness is scary. It’s almost like he’s got wing mirrors on the pitch,” Gerrard said on BT Sport.
“His strength, I think about seven or eight people bounced off him today. He’s five-foot-four. His game intelligence, his awareness, his creativity.
“What compliments him even more is having Pedro and Willian running off him. I think they like playing with each other. They’re on the same wavelength.
“When he plays with Morata on his own there’s too much responsibility on him. I can understand if you’re playing Atletico Madrid or Barcelona but if you’re playing games against Huddersfield or West Ham put them all in.
“That’s what made Chelsea more inventive, more creative. I’d start with the three of them.”
