Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been fined £8,000 after admitting an FA misconduct charge following his sending-off in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Swansea City.
Referee Neil Swarbrick sent Conte to the stands towards the end of the first half after Conte pretested the decision to wrongly award Swansea City a goal-kick when it should have been a Chelsea corner-kick.
Conte apologised for his actions after the match and hoped referee Swarbrick would learn from the incident at Stamford Bridge.
The Football Association announced: “Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been fined £8,000 after he admitted an FA misconduct charge and accepted the standard penalty.
“It follows his sending-off against Swansea City on 29 November.”
