Chelsea Ladies manager Emma Hayes has had a successful time as the manager of the Blues’ Ladies team and now she has announced she is expecting twins.

The 41-year-old is due to give birth when the Women’s Super League One season finishes.

She told Chelsea’s official website: “I’m massively excited to share the news that I am expecting twins in June. I have to say, I don’t understand why people call it morning sickness, because that’s not true – it lasts more than just the morning!

“Thankfully I’m in an environment around women who truly understand! I’ve got my biggest life challenge ahead of me and I’m going to have two wee ones popping into the world some time in June.

“Please hold out until the end of the season… I’m very excited to fulfil a dream of mine in becoming a parent.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
