David Luiz was absent in training and will miss Chelsea’s Champions League game against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Luiz has lost his place to youngster Andreas Christensen, and the media has consistently reported of a feud between Conte and Luiz, something the Italian has vehemently refused.
Giving update on Luiz’s injury, Conte said: “David is out. This problem with his knee, trying to solve this situation. He’s out.”
Conte was also asked about his relationship with Luiz, and the Chelsea boss was unhappy with the question for being asked repeatedly.
He said: “But why do you ask this question… two weeks ago, then it was the past, then he played against Qarabag. If you don’t trust what I tell it’s your problem not my problem.”
