It was a cracking game for Chelsea in the 2-1 win over Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal clash at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues won the game and are through to the semifinal of the competition, but that’s not the entire story.
It had to take a 92 minute winner from Alvaro Morata just after Dan Gosling scored the equaliser for Eddie Howe’s men in the 90th minute.
Antonio Conte was happy the game didn’t extra time as it could have been very demanding for his players who play again on Saturday.
Conte said: “I think it was important to not go and play 30 minutes more. It was a bit dangerous. We are pleased. It’s not good to concede in the last minute but we have great character. We must be pleased.”
Conte also revealed his seriousness for the competition as he also said: “We will fight to the end for every competition. To reach the semi-finals is a remarkable achievement for the club. We want to try and reach Wembley, The other teams want the same.”
