Chelsea second choice striker Michy Batshuayi has had a couple of good games for Chelsea this season, but his progress has stalled due to an injury that kept him out of action for close to a month.
He’s yet to start a game since his return and Conte opted to play Eden Hazard as a false nine in Alvaro Morata’s absence, as Batshuayi started the game on the bench.
Conte has admitted that he’s impressed with Batshuayi this season and that he hasn’t been playing much of late due to injury.
When asked if he will feature against Huddersfield, Conte said: “He is part of my squad.”
He then added: “He was out for three weeks, he had a problem with his ankle. Then he struggled a bit to find the right physical condition, now he is starting to stay in good form and if you compare the games he’s playing this season to last season, he’s playing and he didn’t play 90 minutes because he was injured.
“Don’t forget he played in the Community Shield and we started the season with him. I try to make the best decision for the team and when I decide the formation the last part i see is the head.”
