Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has been linked with Chelsea since Antonio Conte became Chelsea boss.
The duo teamed up at Juventus and still share a strong bond.
Conte was asked about Vidal in his press conference after the 2-0 win against Brighton, and the Chelsea boss said: “I must be honest, it’s not right to talk about players from other teams.
“Especially if you try to link this player with us. July is very far but at the same time Arturo is a fantastic player.
“I have a great respect for Arturo, we spent many years at Juventus and I said if I have to go to war, I want to have him with me.”
