Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand was one of the best centre backs in the Premier League during his era, but the 39-year-old has admitted he still gets nightmares from playing against Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
Since signing for Chelsea from Lille in 2012, Hazard has been one of the stars of the Premier League, and Ferdinand is still in awe of the Belgian.
Asked how he enjoyed playing against Hazard, Ferdinand told BT Sport: “I didn’t, I still remember and I still get nightmares.
“I used to just be happy he was staying wide at that point… under [Jose] Mourinho he stayed very much on the left-hand side so didn’t really come into my area which was a blessing.
“But now we’re seeing him all over the frontline – he’s fantastic to watch and he’s the man that really makes this Chelsea team tick.”
