David Luiz seems to have lost his place to Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen, and has played just once in the last four games for the Blues.

The Brazilian has been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid in some transfer rumours, and former Blue and Chelsea assistant coach Ray Wilkins isn’t bothered about Luiz leaving Chelsea to Manchester United.

Wilkins admits he likes Luiz as a midfielder and not a defender because of his many mistakes, and should only be sold to United if he will feature as a defender.

Wilkins told Sportingbet: “As far as I’m concerned, David Luiz can go to United tomorrow as a centre-half.

“If he goes as a holding midfielder, I wouldn’t let him leave.

“David Luiz, as a centre-half, does not fit the requirements of a top level football club – he makes far too many errors.
