According to a report on Daily Mail, Chelsea have made a move for PSV technical director Marcel Brands as the Blues look to fill the void left by Michael Emenalo.
Emenalo quit as his role as Chelsea’s technical director in November, citing family reasons for his sudden resignation before joining Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.
Brands has been technical director at PSV since 2010. He has overseen a difficult period on and off the pitch for the Dutch club.
The 55-year-old was heavily influential in recruiting Dries Mertens and Kevin Strootman in 2011 before making huge profits on them as they were both sold to the Serie A to Napoli and Roma respectively.
Brands signed Davy Propper for £4.0million before selling him to Brighton for £10m in the summer and also played a role in the club raking in over £30m euros for Memphis Depay when he left for Manchester United in 2015.
