Chelsea midfield general N’Golo Kante has been named as the French Player of the Year for 2017 by France Football magazine.
Kante won the award ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, who were second and third respectively, after receiving a total of 92 votes.
Having helped Chelsea to the league title last season, Kante definitely deserves to win the award.
Kante took the prestigious award following a vote among previous winners – including 2016 winner Antoine Griezmann, France boss Didier Deschamps and ex-UEFA president Michel Platini – as well as the current editor in chief of France Football.
