Chelsea could only qualify from the Champions League group C table as second after a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.
And now, the Blues could face difficult ties with PSG and Barcelona among the probable options for Chelsea to play in the round of 16.
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was impressed with Chelsea’s display against Atletico and wants his former side to be drawn with Besiktas in the second round of the Champions League.
“I think it was good,” Lampard said on BT Sport.
“I think in terms of general play they did everything they had to do. They were very solid in the first half without being spectacular.
“They went 1-0 down to a mistake, they responded very well and just some nights those goals don’t go in.
“So let’s hope they draw Besiktas on Monday and they don’t have to worry about it, we’ll see.”
