Chelsea youngsters Tammy Abraham and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were up against each other last weekend and both started for Swansea and Crystal Palace on Saturday as the teams played out a 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium.

Loftus-Cheek was brought down for a penalty which was converted by Luka Milivojevic to give the visitors the lead.

On Boxing Day, Abraham came off the bench for the last half-hour as Swansea were beaten 5-0 at Liverpool.

Kurt Zouma played the entire 90 minutes for Stoke as they picked up four important points from two games, with Mark Hughes’s side beating West Brom 3-1 on Saturday before drawing 1-1 away at Huddersfield on Boxing Day.

In the Championship, Tomas Kalas started for Fulham in their 4-2 Boxing Day win at Cardiff, a game in which Lucas Piazon played for the first time since breaking his ankle in September, the Brazilian coming off the bench for the last couple of minutes.

Kalas also played the full game on Saturday as Fulham beat Barnsley 2-1, Ike Ugbo playing the final 12 minutes for the visitors.

Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori and Michael Hector all started as Hull were beaten 1-0 at Leeds on Saturday. Aina, who came close to opening the scoring, and Tomori filled the two full-back roles, with Hector operating in midfield.
