Charly Musonda recently penned a new contract that will keep him at Chelsea till 2022.

The 21-year-old Belgian revealed to the official Chelsea website how his days usually pan out before and after training.

When asked what his days are like before training, Musonda said: “I usually get in between 9am and 9.30am. We come in and have breakfast, and then at 9.45am start preparing for training.

“What I do before training varies. If we have had a game, then the next day is recovery so you see the physios and get massages. Sometimes I go downstairs to the gym and do some work there. If I’m feeling well then I just wait until training.

“Every player has his own programme. I have a programme with the physios. Occasionally I do extra gym work, or sometimes we have extra gym work in training.”

And for after training, he said: “I prefer to do extra (massage) before training. It depends from player to player. Some prefer to do that work after training when they are warm, but I prefer to do it before training so I can prepare for training. I have always preferred to do stuff before.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
