Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane are long-term admirers of Chelsea star Eden Hazard, and have tried to sign him since last summer.
Chelsea have held on strongly to the Belgian, and reports now claim Perez is unhappy with Hazard due to the comments he recently made concerning Barcelona and Lionel Messi.
“In the last 10 or 15 years there is no team like Barcelona or any player that comes close to Leo Messi,” Hazard said.
Diario Gol claim although Zidane would still welcome Hazard to the Spanish capital Perez doesn’t want the Blues star to move to the Bernabeu after his comments, and Real Madrid fans are also said to be angered by Hazard’s statements.
If so, it’s a win-win for Chelsea.
