The World Cup draw for Russia 2018 has been done, and we can only look forward to another World Cup frenzy next summer.
Chelsea players feature predominantly in each group, and groups A and H are the only ones without Chelsea interest. There will even be some Chelsea players who will go against each other in the group stage as everyone will seek to put club ties aside and help their countries.
Nigeria have the likes of Victor Moses, Ola Aina and Kenneth Omeruo as possible Chelsea representatives, and have been drawn in a tough group alongside regular World Cup foes Argentina, debutants Iceland and also Croatia who have another Blue Mario Pasalic, currently on loan at Spartak Moscow,
Andreas Christensen’s Group C will be up against France who have N’Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayako in their ranks.
Belgium and England will do battle in Group G, with Gary Cahill, Danny Drinkwater, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham as possible candidates for the Three Lions, and will be up against Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Michy Batshuayi for Belgium.
The tournament starts on 14 June 2018.
