Alvaro Morata has been a beast with his head for Chelsea and has scored almost as many goals with his head as his feet since signing for Chelsea.
Chelsea fell to an early Newcastle goal before Eden Hazard restored parity in the first-half.
Morata then powered the Blues into a deserved lead just past the hour mark, displaying all his predatory instincts by edging ahead of his marker and nudging Victor Moses’ driven cross home from point blank range.
His header has now set a record in Europe’s top five league.
It was Morata’s fifth headed goal of the campaign, more than any other striker in Europe so far. Since the start of last season, Morata has scored 11 headed goals, more than anyone else in Europe’s top five leagues.
