Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been urged to stop moaning about Chelsea’s fixture list because it may be having a negative impact on the players.
“In terms of fixtures, they had it easy last year with no Champions League,” Phil Neville told Match of the Day.
“He’s talking too much about tiredness and the fixture list. He’s moaning about having the fixtures after the Champions League.
“He probably is making a point about the size of his squad and that he didn’t bring in the players he wanted in the summer, but if your manager is talking about tiredness all the time it does affect your team and you’ve just got to get on with it.”
The Blues have already dropped 16 points from our first 16 games this season, just five less than the entirety in our title-winning campaign. Should Manchester City beat United in Sunday’s derby, Chelsea will trail City by 14 points.
