Ahead of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg clash with Arsenal at the Emirates, fans have been wondering whether away goals would count.
Away goals can decide a tie in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup but not the way you expect.
According to the Carabao Cup rules, if the aggregate scores are level come the end of the second leg then away goals do not play a part and the tie goes to extra-time.
However, if the aggregate scores are still level after extra-time, away goals would come into play and the team with the most away goal would progress to the final of the Carabao Cup.
