Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has revealed he improved under Rafa Benitez during his short spell in charge of Chelsea.

Benitez will return to Stamford Bridge with his Newcastle United team for today’s FA Cup clash.

“In the six months he was here with us we won the Europa League and reached the semi-finals of both cups,” Azpilicueta said.

“We enjoyed it because we won the Europa League and reached our target of qualifying for the Champions League and I improved personally under him.”
