Chelsea are out of the Carabao Cup after the semifinal defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday at the Emirates Stadium.
Chelsea took the lead through Eden Hazard, but eventually lost the game 2-1, and Chelsea vice-captain Cesar Azpilicueta has admitted that the players are hurting from the defeat.
“We are disappointed and it hurts a lot because we have missed a chance to win a trophy, but now we have to analyse and improve,” Azpilicueta said.
“We know we can do better, and on Sunday we have another chance in the FA Cup to keep going.
“After any defeat you need to bounce back and show the answer of the team. In this case we go from one cup to the other and we have to go for it and get a win again for our confidence.”
