Chelsea’s second choice goalkeeper Willy Caballero has featured in the FA Cup for Manchester City, including at Stamford Bridge in a big 5-1 win for the Blues in February 2016.
He hasn’t played for Chelsea in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge, and if selected in tonight’s FA Cup clash with Norwich, it will be his first home FA Cup appearance for the Blues.
The Argentine is hoping that Chelsea go far in this prestigious competition that he started watching as a kid while in his native Argentina.
“You know playing this cup is a very good challenge for us,” Caballero tells the official Chelsea website.
“We want to get as far as we can. Now we have a game at home and for sure we have to start very well because we know what they can do.
“In the first game they played well. Our first half was probably a little bit poor, but in the second half we played more like Chelsea. We were stronger but we couldn’t score. It’s true that if you cannot win, it’s better not to lose.
“When I was young I heard about this competition because it’s the most historic and important cup competition in England,” adds Caballero.
“I started to follow this competition when I began getting into football, and I hope we can go far in it this year.”
