Chelsea’s Carabao Cup first leg tie with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge ended in a stalemate despite Chelsea creating several chances to score.

This was the second game in a row Chelsea have played a stalemate and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte insists Chelsea must improve on this situation.

“For sure I think it would be better to win the game,” Conte said.

“The positive things were that we didn’t concede and when you play a semi-final with two legs and not concede at home can be important.

“We tried to win, shot 20 times, created chances but couldn’t take them. In the last period we must be more clinical, if you don’t score the game can finish in a draw.

“After Norwich it is the second 0-0 in a row. We have to improve on the training pitch in this situation.”
