Chelsea and Premier League rivals Manchester United are interested in £35million Gremio midfielder Arthur Melo, according to a report on The Sun.
Melo was close to joining La Liga giants Barcelona but Gremio reportedly refused to sell after an image of Melo in Barcelona’s club colours was circulated online.
Gremio insists no deal has been struck with Barcelona and revealed Melo would only be allowed to join Barcelona for his £45m buyout clause.
However, The Sun claim Gremio will be willing to lower their asking price for Melo to £30-£35 million if Chelsea or Manchester United submit a bid as they aren’t willing to sell to Barcelona.
Melo is expected to make Brazil’s World Cup squad for Russia 2018.
