There have been a topsy turvy circle in the race to sign Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez this January.

Manchester City were close to signing the 29-year-old before Manchester United stole the deal, and now it seems Chelsea want to hijack the deal from Manchester United.

Manchester City pulled out of the race for Sanchez due to their belief the deal had become too expensive.

Manchester United, however, are still interested in the 29-year-old, and are willing to pay Sanchez up to £350,000 per week if he were to move to Old Trafford.

Chelsea were linked with Sanchez during the summer and will now make a last ditch effort to sign the Chilean.
