Chelsea U18’s have continued their excellent form this season, and the Blues who won the FA Youth Cup for the fourth time in a row last season are on the quest for a record-equalling fifth consecutive FA Youth Cup as they fired seven past West Brom without reply at Aldershot.
Both Daishawn Redan and Callum Hudson-Odoi scored braces, with the latter also adding three further assists as Jody Morris’s side comfortably advanced into the fifth round.
Marc Guehi’s header had opened the scoring with just 10 minutes on the clock and it was 3-0 by half-time, though the Baggies did rattle the woodwork with the deficit at one.
The 7-0 final scoreline was our biggest margin of victory in the competition for 20 years and our first seven-goal haul since a 7-1 win against Tottenham in the semi-final last campaign. It will be Spurs next for Morris’s men in the fifth round as we travel away for the first time this term.
