Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi scored a brace as Chelsea won Newcastle United 3-0 at Stamford Bridge today.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte revealed after the game that he was happy for Michy Batshuayi and he believes the goals are good for Batshuayi’s confidence.

“I don’t know if it was his best game, but it was important for him and the team. To score is important for the confidence, we are talking about a young player with a great potentiality,” Conte said of Batshuayi.

“Today I showed that for me the most important thing is the present, not the future. Otherwise I would have take other choices.

“Michy, we are talking about a player I have worked with for one year and a half, a powerful player and has a lot of room for improvement. My task is to work with him and every single player.

“I am very happy for him and the team, now we have to continue in this way and it is important to recover.”
