Chelsea star Eden Hazard has made the 2017 UEFA Team of the Year, as revealed in the UEFA’s website.

The voting was done by fans and Hazard is only one of two Premier League players to have made the team, the other being Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

A record 8.8m votes were cast to decide the best XI, with users deciding on their preferred formation from a shortlist of 50 players chosen by the UEFA.com editorial team.

But there was no place for Tottenham’s Kane, who was Europe’s top scorer for club and country in 2017 with 56 goals, or PSG’s Neymar, the world’s most expensive player at £200m.

The full UEFA.com Fans’ Team of the Year 2017 is:

Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus & Italy); Dani Alves (Juventus/Paris Saint-Germain & Brazil), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid CF & Spain), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus & Italy), Marcelo (Real Madrid CF & Brazil); Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City FC & Belgium, Toni Kroos (Real Madrid CF & Germany), Luka Modric (Real Madrid CF & Croatia); Eden Hazard (Chelsea FC & Belgium; Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona & Argentina), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF & Portugal).
