Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez was spotted in the stands at the Emirates Stadium in the Carabao Cup game between Arsenal and Chelsea in the semi-final of the competition.

The former Premier League winner, who was named as player of the season in 2016, sat alongside his teammate and fellow Algerian international Islam Slimani, which sparked rumours over the future of the pair, as both have been linked with a move to Chelsea.

However, according to Sky Sports News, there is no suggestion that Mahrez’s attendance was in any way connected to a move away from Leicester.

Mahrez still remains good friends with former teammate N’Golo Kante, and the pair met up after the game.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
