Transfer season always brings a lot of rumors, some of them true, while most aren’t. so far this January, we’ve heard/ read about some really unbelievable rumours — Real Madrid want Eden Hazard, Chelsea want Theo Walcott, Man Utd want Willian, etc, but the funniest of them would have to be news that Man Utd actually want to make a move for N’golo Kante. I have no idea what triggered the falsehood, but I think it is what it is…absolute falsehood.
I get the desperation of Manchester United and Mourinho, his team “lack spine” and all, certain players are never available for sale at a football club because of what they bring to the table and Kante is a player Chelsea would never consider selling.
Not only is Kante the very core that holds our midfield together, he’s also important when the team attacks too. Losing a player of that calibre would cause so much harm to Chelsea. A quick reminder of his worth was when he was out injured for a few weeks, we suffered in every area of play for it for the games he missed. Chelsea understand Kante is too valuable, and I doubt any amount of money would be enough to prise him away from us. If anything, we should be looking to add another of him to the team; imagine how devastating that would be to teams.
Of course, there’s very little suggesting Mourinho would try to buy Kante, but just in case he considers it, he should wake up quickly from his slumber as Chelsea won’t sell Kante to a Premier League rival.
