A report on The Mirror claims Chelsea were offered the chance to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the summer but the Blues turned down the chance to sign the Gabon international.

The report claims Dortmund offered Chelsea the chance to sign Aubameyang after Chelsea missed out on signing Romelu Lukaku during the summer but Chelsea instead opted to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

Ahead of the transfer window re-opening this January, the Blues were once again offered the forward after his strained relationship with Dortmund broke down even more.

The Mirror claim Dortmund were desperate to part company with Aubameyang and offered him to Chelsea in the month of November ahead of the January window.

But again Chelsea failed to make an offer for the player.

Aubameyang looks set to join rivals Arsenal with Dortmund desperate to sell the Gabon international during the January window.

Will Chelsea regret not making an offer for Aubameyang?
