Chelsea have agreed terms with Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri but are yet to agree terms with Roma striker Edin Dzeko.
According to a report on Daily Mail, the 31-year-old striker wants a two and a half year contract to match the length of his deal at Roma but Chelsea aren’t willing to offer him that.
Chelsea are reportedly only willing to offer Dzeko an 18 month deal with an option to extend it for another year.
The delay in reaching an agreement with Dzeko is also having affecting Michy Batshuayi’s proposed loan move to Sevilla.
Chelsea aren’t willing to let Batshuayi leave the club on loan until a replacement has been secured and Batshuayi is also running out of time to secure a loan move to Sevilla after the Spanish club gave the Chelsea striker an ultimatum to join the club on loan this weekend or they will switch to other targets.
