Arsenal host an in-form Chelsea side on Wednesday, and one man who’s unhappy with the fixtures scheduling is Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Wenger is not happy that his side are playing just three days after their frustrating 1-1 draw with West Brom and believes the Blues have an unfair advantage heading into the London derby.

Speaking after their draw with West Brom, Wenger told reporters: “Maybe we haven’t played well enough but that’s down to you to judge.

“These are two things. You cannot have… West Brom had five days to prepare for a game like that, we had three.

“I’m ready to play every day as long as our opponent has had the same time for recovery over Christmas. It’s not normal.

“We have the same problem again against Chelsea. They played yesterday [Saturday], we play on Wednesday. They have one day more [rest] again.”
