Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is currently serving a touchline ban and was forced to watch the Carabao Cup clash at Stamford Bridge from the press box.

The Arsenal boss is serving a three match suspension since the statements he made against the referee after last week’s league game between Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Daily Mail report that Wenger cut a frustrated figure as he watched his players take on Chelsea from the stands. It’s claimed that the Arsenal manager ‘vented his displeasure’ at one of Granit Xhaka’s misplaced passes, but the 68-year-old was also annoyed with Morata’s ability to win free-kicks for Chelsea.

Morata won a number of free-kick much to Wenger’s displeasure and according to the Mail’s report, Wenger said in the press box: “Every time he [Morata] goes down it’s a f*****g free-kick.”

Wenger will be back in the dugout for the return leg, although the Arsenal manager admits he was pleased with the view he was given at Stamford Bridge.
