Last season, Nathan Ake returned from his loan spell at Bournemouth in January before finally securing a permanent move to Bournemouth during the summer.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham are currently excelling for their loan clubs but Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed a return from their temporary spells away as a means for boosting his squad is unlikely.
“I don’t think this could be realistic,” Conte said.
“The players we send on loan are playing. I don’t see a possibility to come back for some players on loan.
“I remember last January Ake, Kenedy and Musonda came back in January to improve our squad. But in this transfer (window), I don’t know.”
