Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has been linked with a move to Chelsea this January.
Conte signed Vidal for Juventus and worked with him for three years between 2011 and 2014, winning three successive Serie A titles together in that period.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admitted interest in signing Vidal last month.
Conte said: “Arturo is a fantastic player, I have a great respect for Arturo, and we spent many years in Juventus together.
“If we go to war, I’d always want him with me.”
However, Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes has ruled out any chances of Vidal joining Chelsea during the January transfer window.
“There’s been no contact between Chelsea and Bayern,” Heynckes said.
“We won’t sell Arturo Vidal or any other player during the winter market.”
