Chelsea U19 side ran out comfortable victors in the UEFA Youth League as they booked a trip to Real Madrid in the quarter-finals having beaten Feyenoord 5-2 on Wednesday evening.

Youngsters with senior team experience like Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ethan Ampadu and Dujon Sterling all featured for Joe Edwards’ side.

Edwards opted for the familiar 3-4-2-1 shape, with Reece James, Ampadu and captain Josh Grant across the back in front of goalkeeper Marcin Bulka.

Ethan Ampadu headed us into an early lead before further first-half goals from Daishawn Redan and an own goal were sandwiched either side of a strike back from Achraf El Bouchataoui to make it 3-1 at half-time.

Another own goal nine minutes after the restart sucked the fight out of Feyenoord and Harvey St Clair added a fifth with a smart finish before Noah Lewis pulled one back late on. The victory sends us into the last-eight and a visit to the Spanish capital next month.
