Chelsea went ahead through a fierce Willian effort that beat David De Gea at his nearpost, but the Blues were pegged back when former Blue Romelu Lukaku rounded off some neat interplay to slot past Thibaut Courtois shortly before half-time.

Second-half substitute Jesse Lingard scored the winner for United, but Chelsea should have scored an equaliser through Alvaro Morata.

Just after 90 minutes of action, Cesc Fabregas played a beautiful through ball for Alvaro Morata who sent the ball home, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Unfortunately, video evidence shows Morata was played onside by Victor Lindelof, and so his goal should have stood.

Had Morata’s goal been correctly ruled as onside, the game would have ended in a 2-2 draw, and now Chelsea fans are crying for the use of VAR.
