Antonio Conte arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2016 and had a fantastic debut season as he guided the Blues to the Premier League title and an FA Cup final in his first season.
However, with Chelsea struggling for form this season, there has been question marks over Conte’s future, with rumours claiming that Chelsea are preparing former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique for the Chelsea job.
And now, Chelsea legend Graeme Le Saux has revealed that Chelsea could let Conte go at the end of the season, despite the Italian insisting on finishing his contract with the club.
“It’s proving to be a testing time for Antonio Conte, rumours obviously continue to circulate about his future,” Le Saux told Betfair.
“And the problem that every player and manager has, is that while it may not affect you, it can impact those around you negatively.
“He’s a manager that has generally worked to a two or three year cycle, which is in line with how Chelsea have operated in recent times.
“And with how this campaign is playing out, it seems there’s a certain amount of inevitability about what will happen at the end of the season.”
