Chelsea were seen as the underdog for the Champions League tie against Barcelona, but the Blues were up to the task as Antonio Conte’s men had the best chances to win the game.

Willian struck the bar twice and Chelsea missed a number of opportunities, only for an Andreas Christensen mistake to lead to a Barcelona equaliser.

Conte was disappointed with the final scores of the game and thinks his side should have taken all three points.

The Chelsea manager said: “At the end of the game we are disappointed for the final result. We hit two posts with Willian. There is a bit of disappointment. But this game it must give us a lot of confidence that the qualification is open.

“They are a strong and fantastic team but we showed that we are ready to work together defensively. You must believe you can do something incredible at the Nou Camp.”

Conte also talked about his unhappiness with the mistake that Barcelona used to punish Chelsea.

He said: “We tried three times to score another goal. One mistake and we paid. It is a pity because in that moment the sensation is that Barcelona was fighting a lot to score.”
