Chelsea didn’t end the month of January well after the Blues lost 3-0 to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea signed Olivier Giroud from Arsenal on transfer deadline day, while the signing of Emerson Palmieri was completed a day before.
Conte was asked of the recent acquisitions in his press conference, but he chose not to talk about them after such a bad defeat.
Conte said: “Now is not the right moment to speak about them after a bad defeat.”
Speaking about Chelsea’s success in the transfer window, Conte said: “We have to understand if we want to speak about football and think to understand football we know very well this will be very difficult.
“If we want to only to dream then we can fight to win the title. It is very important to look at the reality and know that if we can win a place in the CL it will be a great success for us. Otherwise it will be a normal season.”
