Chelsea were reportedly willing to include a permanent fee clause in Michy Batshuayi’s loan move to Borussia Dortmund according to reports in Germany.

A report on German media outlet Bild claims Chelsea were willing to include a permanent fee clause in Batshuayi’s contract which could have seen the Belgium striker join Dortmund permanently in the summer.

However, Chelsea also wanted the deal to include a buy-back clause.

Dortmund’s reluctance to accept a buy-back clause in the deal meant Chelsea refused to include a permanent fee clause in Batshuayi’s loan move to Dortmund.

Batshuayi scored a brace on his Dortmund debut in the 3-2 win over Cologne on Friday.

With Chelsea willing to include a permanent fee in Batshuayi’s loan move to Dortmund, could this mean Batshuayi may have no Chelsea future under Antonio Conte?
