Chelsea took the lead at Old Trafford thanks to Willian’s opener but Romelu Lukaku’s equaliser made sure the two sides went in at half-time with the score tied at 1-1.

Substitute Jesse Lingard scored the winner for Manchester United with 15 minutes left of the game.

After the game, Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater who is a product of the Manchester United academy revealed that he was surprised with the outcome of the game, despite Chelsea’s dominance away at Old Trafford.

Drinkwater told Match of the Day: “We definitely deserved more, first half we were dominant.

“First half was more even, but we didn’t deserve to lose that match, no way.

“Obviously there are bits we can improve on, first of all we can improve on not conceding, and scoring more goals.

“But football can sometimes go against you and today’s one of those days.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
