Had VAR been used in Chelsea’s last league game against Manchester United, perhaps Alvaro Morata’s goal would have stood and the game could have ended in a 2-2 draw.

Chelsea star Chelsea star Eden Hazard has now revealed his take on VAR in football after its recent introduction that has even brought its own controversy.

Hazard admits the technology has positives and negatives about it, but overall seemed to think there’s a good future for it in football.

“I like it, because you can’t make mistakes with video,” Hazard told Copa90.

“But the problem is sometimes you need to wait, and on the pitch when the referee says ‘no’ I’m doing something, so sometimes it is long, 1 minute, 2 minutes.

“To be fair I like it because you can see everything, you can’t lie, so if you dive you dive. You can see it on camera.”
