Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has for some months now shown his displeasure with the Chelsea board over the team’s lack of quality signings since he became Chelsea manager.
With the club able to secure three signings during the January transfer window, the Chelsea boss was asked if he’s satisfied with the club’s buys.
Conte said in his press conference today: “As you know very well, because I think I repeated always the same concept over this period of the transfer market, I said it in every case I gave my opinion to the club and then the club tried to make the best decision.
“In this case, I said, in every case, I will be happy. Now I’m lucky because the transfer market has finished and, for this reason, our focus must be on the pitch to try and do our best.”
He also revealed he’s glad that the transfer window is over, so the press will stop asking him questions about transfers.
Conte said: “Yes, but relief only because you can change the questions. Only for this. January is one month, like the others, and 31 days of transfer market. And you have to face this situation.”
