Kick-off: Friday, February 16, 2018. 20:00 GMT

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Chelsea host Hull City tonight in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea defeated Norwich on penalties in the FA Cup third round and unleashed a 3-0 scoreline on Newcastle in the fourth round of the competition to get to this stage, while Hull City defeated Blackburn and Nottingham Forest to get to this stage of the competition.

Both teams are coming into the game at the back of victories. Chelsea defeated West Brom 3-0 in their last game, while Hull City won Nottingham Forest 2-0 away from home.

Antonio Conte has confirmed that he’ll be without injured David Luiz, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley for tonight’s game while Hull City manager Nigel Adkins will be without a trio of defenders on loan from Chelsea – Michael Hector, Ola Aina and Fikayo Tomori – who are ineligible to face their parent club.

This will be the first FA Cup meeting between these two sides since a third-round match in December 1999, which Chelsea won 6-1 away from home – their joint-biggest away win in the competition and the only time they’ve scored six on the road in the competition.

In all competitions, the Blues have never lost at home against Hull City, winning 17 – including their last four – and drawing five.

Chelsea have a good record in the fifth round of the FA Cup as the Blues have progressed from nine of their last 10 fifth round FA Cup ties, with their only loss coming against Manchester City in 2014.

Chelsea defeated Hull City home and away in the Premier League last season 2-0.

My prediction: Chelsea 3 -0 Hull City
